"We treat serious matter in a playful way" (Droog). Mignon are a series of objects and products that basically deal with the playful handling of reversible joining. By experimenting with the material form fleece hardened and flexible areas arise. The material is clamped by simple insertion into slotted pieces of wood, so wood and molded fabric are connected to each other and also separable again. The separability of the materials gets their own appearance and function. This allows them to be exchanged and recycled in cycles. This project was developed in collaboration with Kyra Heilig. Check out the first model on Daniel Kern's website.
